This stamp and related postcard was issued on 12th October 1942 and was valid through May 1945. The official postmark and related postcard that accompanied this issue depicts a Postillion sounding his horn with a map of Europe in the background and is inscribed "Europӓischer Postkongress" - 'European Post Congress'. The stamp was designed by Meerwald and printed at the Vienna State Printing Office on sheets (10x5). The stamp is Perf K 13½ x 14¼.
